عشق نے غالب کو بے کار کر دیا۔
ورنہ میں بھی دنیا کا آدمی ہوں۔
Love made me worthless. Otherwise, I was a man of worth.
Arhan translated the Urdu poetry into English in hopes of impressing Lisa, whom he had met online last week. If only he knew that she had set her eyes on his brother, Irfan.

Oof. I love the way this highlights how the game of love can be so fickle! It’s pretty great!
Oh my gosh! This sounds like a story of heartbreak waiting to unfold.
To have poetry translated for someone is so romantic! It’s so sad that she is instead interested in his brother…
What a nice poem. Love is always a good topic to write about.
Lol
Interesting. Is this suppose to be some kind of poetry? Those eyes are pretty neat…I’m guessing those are drawn?
Read the end you’ll know. Thanks for stopping by
A look into those eyes transports you to different kinds of emotions. Love is always a whirlwind. Nothing captures it better than a poem.
Always enjoy the lovely poem shared by you here, and the story was really sad. I hate it when you leave things open ended.
Interesting prompt! It has me wondering about the details of a story that’s hanging just out of reach.
This is a short and bittersweet love writing. Poor Arhan x
I really do love it when a story begins with a compelling hook. I enjoy how invested you made me in two sentences.
Interesting and sad. Love the drawings!
Oh no, not the brother. That could definitely end badly.
Wow, how interesting. Sounds like a really sad story and I love the drawings…wow not the brother. Who knew ha!
Beautiful words! Thanks for having audio for those who are vision impaired. I love the association with the eyes, and they are the window to the soul.
Anytime sweetheart…
Beautiful drawing. Kinda sad that she is in love with his brother. Their love may never be
Beautiful poem. It’s unfortunate that she fell for his brother.
That sounds like an interesting and exciting story. 🙂 And I love the drawings. Those are wonderful!
This is very cool and yikes for that guy! I enjoyed it… very witty!
Wow, what a beautiful tale! Thanks for sharing this touching story. It really resonated with me. Can’t wait to read more from you!”
It’s a nice change to come to a blog and see a nice poem. Such wonderful and sweet tribute to love!
Wow! This is very beautiful poem I have read it is like a heartbreaking at the same time a heartfelt story.
Love can make you do some amazing (and crazy) things. Our hearts go out to Arhan with this poem!
Sounds like an intense story. I enjoyed the images and the words. Love is so complicated!
this post is a reminder of how words are so powerful and we can convey a lot in just a little..
Interesting, love sometimes can be good and sometimes could end in the worst way possible. Nice something like this can be translated.
It’s unfortunate that the person in the story has feelings for their partner’s brother. The idea of a poem is nice, but it seems like their feelings are not reciprocated.
This is a crazy poem. I hope it all worked out for her but it usually isn’t a good sign meeting someone only to fall in love with a relative or friend.
Interesting perspective on love and language barriers. Eyes are the window to the heart they say… thanks for sharing
This is sad that she is interested with someone else. More painful since it’s his brother.
Good suggestion!
Well if this isn’t the ultimate tragedy. Beautifully written though. I loved it
Arhan will one day realise he’d been saved by a whisker of an eye!
Sometimes, the love gets lost in translation. It’s true and it happens because of a disconnect between our intentions and their interpretations.
In whispers lost, your voice I seek,
A language soft, but hearts still weak.
Words once bloomed now fade away,
In silent dusk, where shadows play.
Your touch, a ghost in twilight’s veil,
A love misplaced, a ship set sail.
Eyes that spoke in silent tone,
Now echo in this heart of stone.
Translations fail, and meanings break,
A bridge unbuilt, a heart’s mistake.
In foreign lands, our love’s despair,
A tale of loss, suspended air.
In the depth of the eyes, you can find the universe
There love whispers being in a secret hide,
Is that love for you? Well, that you have to Judge.
If that not for you, then move forward.
Read the eyes …. It will tell the truth to accept it with an open heart.
So sad to know how the love for eyes can be do painful. Few lines state a complete story.
