Hi everyone, its already the 3rd day of A2Z Blog Challenge and here I am again with Alphabet C. And C stands for Cubism.
Cubism form of Art was originally introduced between 1907 and 1914 in Paris, the founders were Pablo Picasso and George Braque. Cubism Art is basically how we see the world around us. It is said that Picasso believed in relativity and that’s why he put in his memories and whatever he observed around him.
A Little History:
In the early 20th century, Cubism arose,
With Picasso and Braque, its pioneers, who chose,
To break from tradition, to see anew,
In fragmented planes, their vision grew.
Cubism was all about seeing things in a different way,
With multiple viewpoints, it aimed to convey,
The essence of objects, stripped to the core,
In geometric shapes, its beauty did soar.
Notable Artists:
Among the luminaries of Cubism’s reign,
Picasso and Braque, their art did sustain.
Pablo Picasso, a name that shines bright,
With “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon,” he ignited the light.
Georges Braque, his partner in the Cubist quest,
Together they challenged, they put to the test,
The boundaries of art, the limits of form,
In fragmented visions, they found a new norm.
Juan Gris, with his analytical mind,
His Cubist compositions, a treasure to find.
In “Still Life with Fruit Dish,” his genius did shine,
With geometric precision, his art defined.
Albert Gleizes and Fernand Léger, they too,
Contributed to Cubism, with visions so true.
Their paintings and sculptures, a testament bold,
To the power of Cubism, to break from the mold.
Paul Cézanne, the precursor, the one who inspired,
His geometric landscapes, with colors attired,
Laid the groundwork for Cubism’s ascent,
With brushstrokes and colors, he left a footprint.
Paul Klee, with his whimsy and play,
Brought Cubism to life in a colorful array.
His “Senecio” and “Castle and Sun,” they inspire,
With abstract forms, they never tire.
Alexander Archipenko, Robert Delaunay too,
Their contributions to Cubism, forever true.
Stuart Davis and Boris Korolyov, they joined the fray,
With Cubist visions, they paved the way.
A Poem by Me:
In the Cubist’s realm, we find,
A world of shapes, a visual mind.
With fractured forms and angles bold,
Each artwork tells a story untold.
Through Picasso’s eyes, we see,
The beauty in chaos, the harmony.
In every brushstroke, every hue,
Cubism reveals a world anew.
So let us marvel at its innovation bright,
In every canvas, every stroke, take flight.
For in the beauty of Cubism’s embrace,
We find a glimpse of art’s endless grace.
I know it was shorter than the previous ones, but there’s lot to it, this was just the tip of iceberg. I will write more on it, may be someday. I’ll see you again tomorrow with the Alphabet D.

Wow! I like the blend of poetry and learning. Cubism is an interesting artform. The angles and lines create a different depth to the piece. Enjoyed your post much! Thanks. 🙂
