The Purse Designer

It has been a whole week since I have been away from blogging. But finally I am back that too with an Interview with a lovely lady from Bogota, Colombia. Her name is Jennifer Andrea Castillo Lopez and she is a purse/handbag designer.. Isn’t it wonderful? So Lets move on to the interview…

Me: Hey Jen I would directly jump on to my first question which is, When did you realize that you wanted to pursue a career in handbag and purse designing?

Jen: I always wanted to do something different since my childhood. During my time years, I started making bags as a hobby. I wanted to pursue a career in bags soon after that.

Me: That is great. Moving on to the second question. What college did you attend and what did you study?

Jen: Although I wanted to pursue my career in handbag designing, I wasn’t sure about that. So I decided to study publishing designer. Later on, I changed my path and came back to purse and handbag designing, so I didn’t study how to make purses and learnt it with time and practice.

Me: That sounds interesting so Jen when did you sell your first purse, how was the buyer’s reaction to your work?

Jen: As I told you earlier, I used to make purses when I was a teenager, I used to sell them to my friends. They encouraged me to make and sell purses and other handicrafts.

Me: We all know that this is a vast industry now.. So who have been your biggest mentors in this industry and what is the best lesson they have ever given you?

Jen: This may sound a little weird, but an ex-boyfriend was my best mentor. We loved travelling around the country and with him, I discovered a new way to win. With him, I had a friend that taught me to find cute materials. He always encouraged me to follow my dreams.

Me: What was your first job out of college?

Jen: My first job was about handicrafts after that I decided to study publishing designer.

Me: What was the biggest rookie mistake you made when just starting out?

Jen: When I started making purses, I had an urge to earn lots of money which made me make bad purses. They would break and wear out easily. I guess that was my first mistake and first lesson, I wasn’t satisfied with what I was doing. I had to improve myself.

Me: What is your favourite part about being a purse/handbag designer?

Jen: My favourite part is when someone love my job, my style, the color, the design, or simply when the client is happy with the work I did.

Me: If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be?

Jen: If I could go back in time, I would tell myself to believe in what I love.  When I had to decide a career path, I wasn’t confident enough about studying purse designing. I didn’t study anything about the topic I love but ended up choosing another career.

Me: This is going to be the very last question Jen. The fashion industry has changed so much in the past few years, what’s the best advice you would give for staying ahead of the curve?

Jen My advice would be look the women need. Look around, you will find enough ideas to work on. That’s how I learnt.

Me: Thank you Jennifer.

The Haunted House

Hey readers I know I have been posting after a long time in Paranormal. Actually I was in search of something different.
While searching for paranormal stuff I came in contact with Melissa Wilton from Canada who isn’t only a paranormal investigator but also a lovely homemaker. As I was talking to her she told me about one of her case of a Haunted house.

Yes I know in most the paranormal cases there are haunted houses but this one is different. One thing I would like to inform, for privacy concerns I won’t be revealing the property owner’s name, evidences and place.

So here now we will read what Melisa has to say about it.

Melissa: My team was contacted by the client who described various activity in the house, including seeing a man in their home office, having things move, sounds, etc. We set up a time to go conduct an investigation. We had a team of three of us go in November 2017. The investigation was mostly uneventful, the sensitive that we worked with felt the spirit of a small white dog, which the client had seen on multiple occasions. Upon review of my audio, I discovered that we did get one response to a question that I asked. During an EVP session, a team member commented that they heard footsteps upstairs, I asked if we had a camera facing in the direction of the sound, at the time, we heard nothing, but on the recording, we could hear a man’s voice quickly saying “no”, which was the correct answer to the question I asked, we did not have a camera facing in that direction!
On that investigation, we also captured an image of something on the stairs.

We were in touch with the client on and off through the holidays and in February 2018, with an increase in activity, we decided to go back for a follow up investigation. This time, it was myself and one other investigator, a sensitive who was not there the first time.

The night before the investigation, I had a dream that I was at the client’s house with her and I began to see spiders everywhere. The dream was extremely vivid, I have never had a dream about a client or upcoming investigation, so I decided to look up the meaning of the symbols in my dream. My research indicated that she may have a strong male, protective energy in her home.

While at the investigation, the other team member I had with me, talked about a protective male spirit, a family member from long ago, possibly. While we were conducting the investigation, our EMF detectors indicated several anomalies in a few random spots, like a desk chair, where the readings were high on and close to the chair, but not anywhere else in the room. As well, our EMF detector spiked randomly for no apparent reason, while sitting on the counter. This is something that happened in the same spot on our first visit, and we still cannot figure out what was going on.

As well, while doing EVP sessions, we heard knocking and tapping at random points, with no explanation. When you listen to this on the audio, it doesn’t seem like much, but knowing what was happening, that it was disembodied, it was very exciting!

Upon review of our footage, we also discovered that orb like specs seem to follow the client around. When she is in the room, they are in the room with her, and when she leaves, they leave. There were no orbs in any rooms that she wasn’t in, despite other people moving around in the rooms. This is very strange to me, I’ve never seen anything like it, and so I find it very interesting!

The sensitive that was at the second investigation felt strongly that the client was sensitive and had protective spirits around her, with this information, combined with all of the video, photo, and audio, we helped the client find ways to learn about potential sensitivities and work on them. I am still in close contact with her. The activity continues in her home, though it doesn’t scare them. In fact, a dream that she had helped them discover that they had an electrical problem that would have caused a house fire, if they had not found it!

Now that was Melissa’s view on the investigation. But as I question a lot here in this case even I asked her a few questions. Here it goes.

Me: My first question if they are protective spirits why did she ask for investigation as your sensitive said that the client was the sensitive herself. The spirits didn’t do anything to her even?

Melissa: The client wasn’t aware that she was sensitive or that the activity in her house was surrounding her, we put it all together through our investigation process. She still isn’t able to communicate with whatever is in her house, she’s learning to receive the information and try to analyse it.

Me: In many cases we have heard from mediums that’s if there are protective spirits at a place and if someone disturbs them in dreams which is supposed to be a lucid dream they feel choked. Or any sign of warning to stay away is given. Was it the same in your case as well?

Melissa: No, I didn’t experience being choked in my dream and neither has this client. The protective nature of this spirit is different than that. It’s more of an observing loved one that feels protective in a living way, not in a possessive way.

Me: Since when is she facing the activities at her home?

Melissa: She has had experiences her entire life, but the activity seems to be picking up the older she gets (She isn’t that old, for the record lol).

Me: Does she live alone?

Melissa: She lives with her husband. He also experiences the activity.

Me: Any close person of her who might have demised?

Melissa: There wasn’t anyone that she could think of.

Me: So the spirit only protects her? Or her husband as well?

Melissa: Well, it seems connected to her, but he definitely benefits from it. For example, the dream she had about a fire caused them to check everything and that’s when they found the fuse box smoking, and severely damaged, much of it was melted. If they hadn’t found it, their house would have burned down for sure.

Me: How old is the house they are living in?

Melissa: About 30 years.

Me: Seems these spirit or spirits maintained a code of honour… Did they try to mess with you and your fellow members?

Melissa: Not at all. They didn’t seem interested in us at all the first time we went. The second time, there was a lot of minor activity, but nothing negative or scary.

Me: The house they live in was it inherited? Or they bought it?

Melissa: They bought it.

Me: They are mostly interested in her. And which means there are no chances any of you carried any energy from there with you. And the sensitive or the medium who accompanied you on your second visit to it what were his views about the spirits?

Melissa: No, definitely not, we didn’t. The sensitive felt that it was an older male spirit that was connected through family to the client.

Ok, Thank you Melissa I will end my questions here.

Melissa: You are welcome.

So readers from here we get to know that all spirits are not bad. They are good and protective too. I hope you have enjoyed the read. Once again I would like to remind you that due to privacy concerns I won’t be revealing the property owner’s name, evidences and the actual place of incident.

I will end this article here. See you soon. Till then, keep reading, keep commenting and keep supporting.

Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore, some have heard and read about him some have not. Last week was his birthday. He was born in Calcutta on 7th May 1861 and died on 7th August 1941 in Calcutta. He was a Proud Indian He was a Writer, song composer, playwright, essayist, painter. And he received Novel Prize for ‘Gitanjali’ in the year 1913.

Honestly speaking on my blog today I won’t write what everyone knows or can read about him. This is my blog so today I will write what I truly feel, what I truly think about him.

I had read about him since my childhood. My Grandpa used to say one cannot finish reading his works during his/her whole lifetime. Of course he had written a lot. I somehow could feel whatever he might have felt during writing either a sad poetry or a love poem.

Many bengali people in India love him but some hate him. I remember, last year a renowned camera person from a renowned channel told me there’s no point in loving that man’s work because he got whatever he had because he was born in a rich family.

I didn’t respond him, I just smiled. Of course I could have argued with him because I have read him since my childhood. But I couldn’t make him understand what I exactly feel about Rabindranath Tagore.

If any artist is reading this then my question to you would be, have you seen Rabindranath Tagore’s old age photograph? If yes have you looked deep into his eyes? What do you see?

It is said that eyes of a human reflects everything about that person, I am not sure about others but about Rabindranath Tagore it was applicable. His emotions would be easily understandable from him eyes. I personally avoid looking in his eyes of his picture. Do you know what I see?

He might have recieved everything a man ever wants or wanted but his eyes says he was in agony, in deep pain which he couldn’t share with anyone. His eyes say he wanted peace. His eyes depict, only if he could turn over the time.

There are many portraits about him. Many people draw about him. I only sketched once about him because I can’t draw those eyes. I can’t draw that pain, that hurt. I can’t. I only sketched about him once in my lifetime but for me that was worse because I felt like thousands of knives were hitting me.

I have never seen him but I feel like as if I have known him since ages. May be it’s common.

Many “FAMOUS” people would say ,”Ah, that’s very normal”, if I share my true feelings about what I feel about Rabindranath Tagore. But my question is do you feel connected to him like I do? Do you feel like you have known him always like I do? Do you?

Honestly speaking he isn’t my favourite writer or poet or painter but still I love reading his works. This reminds me of one more incident in 2017 while I was working as a journalist, my senior asked me about one of the phrases of Rabindranath Tagore’s work “Ghore Baire”, a lady who sort of hated me commented, “How would she know about it? You asked the wrong person”, and she chuckled. My senior knowing me well then told her, “Why don’t you answer it then”, she didn’t have any answer to it. I simply completed the phrase and told him the other required details and left the room.

You know I didn’t feel victorious that day because she couldn’t answer it and I knew about it. I was extremely hurt because I can’t portray my feelings.

I know whoever reads it might feel it boring because for the very first time ever I have revealed this side of me but one thing I would say Rabindranath Tagore was really a great man. Not because I know it but because I feel it.

A quote by him, “Who are you, reader, reading my poems an hundred years hence? I cannot send you one single flower from this wealth of the spring, one single streak of gold from yonder clouds. Open your doors and look abroad. From your blossoming garden gather fragrant memories of the vanished flowers of an hundred years before. In the joy of your heart may you feel the living joy that sang one spring morning, sending its glad voice across an hundred years.”

That’s all for today.

Art

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” by Thomas Merton.

Well this is not about others paintings but mine.

I don’t only write but paint as well..

I remember last year after my accident when I was bedridden it left me devastated. One and half months later when I could stand up I asked my mate to get me a canvas and colors. He never asked anything he just got me those.

I don’t know what came to my mind I created this.. 👇

This was the starting.

After that I have made many but never found a gallery to exhibit them and in this case my instagram account deserted_queen helped. People from all over the world appreciate my work.

Today I thought of writing this because I really feel glad when galleries in India rejected, they supported.

Today in this post I will add some of my works. I hope you all will like it.

This one I made when after accident I was tired of myself. So I named it ‘Tired’.

I made this from a selfie of mine which looked dull after I cried… So I named it, “Sorrow”.

I made it the day I got up from my wheelchair and started walking. I named it, “Freedom”.

So what do you think about them?

Let me know if you want to see more works of mine.

Interview Zone: The Episode Author (Thriller)

textgram_1524652842

Episode is an application that has given many writers a field to write their stories and to direct it as well. Everyone can read, write and direct their stories with this application. You can also find your Genres and read the stories from there. It is very well categorized with its stories.

Today in Interview Zone I have writer/director E.Walker whose rose to fame with her first story CSI. She’s an American and she specializes in thriller stories though she is very young, she writes very well and she is the sweetest person I have ever spoken to. So without further delay I will post the interview with her.

Moni: Hello Miss Walker welcome to Interview Zone. So here I will go with my first question. You technically writer on thriller. Why so?

Walker: Well, I write so because I have so many ideas in my head about them and just keeping them there is horrible. I like to express my ideas and that’s why I began writing.

Moni: Interesting answer. Apart from episode where else do you write? Do you own a blog?

Walker: I do not write on anything but Episode. I am trying to get into Wattpad but I don’t know yet.

Moni: Which novelists do you admire?

Walker: I don’t really look up to any novelist.

Moni: Well, ummm, that’s pretty impressive. So apart from writing what do you do? What are your hobbies?

Walker: My hobbies are playing violin(nerdy but who cares) and I do sports such as soccer and track.

Moni: I don’t think it’s nerdy. I personally would like to learn violin someday. Reader’s love your stories, your work so have you ever thought of publishing your own novel?

Walker: I have thought about publishing a novel but I believe I’m too young as of right now. A friend and I are writing a story but it is nearly impossible that we will ever publish it.

Moni: Someday you will definitely. Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Walker: No actually. I always and still do want to be an FBI agent. That’s what inspired my first story CSI.

Moni: Okay, what are your upcoming works?

Walker: Some of my upcoming works are a winter break story with a terrible twist and a story about a new town being plagued with murders.

Moni: Final question (promise!): do you have any advice for the yet-to-be-published writers reading this?

Walker: Yes, it does not matter how many readers or views you get. But also don’t give up on your story. Make it advanced, don’t make it simple. Simple is boring. Thinking of new ideas, not ones from other authors. Be original.

Moni: That’s all for today Thank you so much Walker for this lovely interview.

Walker: You’re welcome dear.

I Love you LIKE I Hate you

Today I will share a story of a girl Meika. Well, her father passed away in 2016 when she was 21 years. She just completed her Master’s degree and started working in a respectable position as a journalist. Her mother passed away when she was 18 years old. She never had any siblings as such. Relatives were there who loved her but Meika believed in keeping them away from her. But, she was a strong girl though.

On a fine november night after dinner she opened her facebook account. She noticed there was a friend request. She opened that page and was shocked to see the name. It was from Aniket.

Aniket was Meika’s first crush, first love when she was in std 9. She could never move on from him. Though Aniket never knew about her love for him. She never dated in her entire college. Never even wanted to get married because the man she fell for was a self claimed saint.

Seeing his account made her fall in love with him again. She accepted his request. She didn’t message him though she kept an eye on his account.

On a Tuesday evening Meika updated some pictures of her on Facebook. And for the very first time Aniket commented. As soon as Meika saw it she jumped out of her couch with excitement. But, she composed herself though and replied only a smiley of smile to him. That night Aniket messaged her. And first time they spoke to each other. Aniket was a smooth talker. And Meika was already in love with him so she easily got flattered. She remembered the day the first time she saw him in Indian Ethnic dress, she fell badly for him. She never got a chance to get close to him as they were from same colony but he was a politician’s brother, and now her dream has come true.

As days and months passed by, their chatting increased. Affection towards eachother increased. And this time Meika decided to take a leave from work to go back to her home town to meet Aniket.

So on a weekend she went back to the city where she spent her childhood. But she decided to stay in a hotel rather than her own house. That evening Aniket came to the hotel where Meika was residing. Meika met him in the reception of the hotel. He took her to his place which he had converted into his study on his bike. Though Meika hated bikes but she couldn’t say no to him. After they reached at Aniket’s place. They sat and were talking about work, about hobbies in the meantime Meika’s phone rang. As it was a call from work she had to attend it. She excused herself and went nearby the window while speaking. After done as soon as she turned back she saw Aniket standing very close to her and Meika turned towards him he hugged her. As Meika loved him badly she melted in her arms. And then she initiated a kiss on his lips. They made out passionately that evening. For Meika it was her dream come true. And for Aniket a score. That night Aniket insisted her to stay with him but she didn’t she went back to the hotel. Ofcourse Aniket dropped her.

Meika slept like a baby that night because her dream came true.

Next day morning Aniket called her up and behaved abnormally. She informed him that she was having lunch at her best friends place. He got extremely possessive and even abused her in anger. Meika just said one sentence, “I believe we are yet not in a relationship, so why are you being possessive”. To which Aniket replied, “Because your best friend is a guy”. Meika was shocked to hear that. She decided to cancel the lunch and went to Aniket’s place to meet him. They met he said they can’t be together and they can only have sexual relationship. Meika was broken badly but as because she was good in hiding her emotions declined his offer.

In one moment her feelings for him changed and now she wants to avenge him at any cost.

See people I gave this example of Meika and Aniket because what we often fail to remember is that we are humans. Love and hate both are a part of that emotion. But there is a very thin line between love and hate. If love can make us blind hatred too can do that. So avoid all this. Because is a part of life. Stay happy and keep others happy.
